On February 19-20, LabforCulture will be participating in the encounter “Culture versus National Borders” in Budapest, Hungary. As part of the project Europe NOW / Europe NEXT artists, writers, and intellectuals from various disciplines will be taking part in a creative dialogue about present and future Europe, organised by the House of World Cultures. The aim of this encounter is to open up new perspectives and start new discussions while trying to avoid over-used buzzwords, instead focusing on artistic contributions, looking at European processes in subjective, independent and provocative ways. Participants will examine topics related to borders, virtual and mental spaces, lost territories, access, language and minority issues, in very different ways: by presenting an artwork or a performance, by giving a literary or a theoretical statement. The statements will be posted on an online platform and an international call for participation will invite anyone who is interested to comment.
