I am an artist whose interest lies in developing and exploring different media: writing, painting, ceramics. The artistic expression is my way of communicating with my environment and what interests me most is the relationship between objects, both physical and psychological, between objects, people and the immensity of landscape.
The human figure is always my point of reference. That’s the starting point, which in my case is molded by the polarities of ying and yang expressed in the symbol of tai chi. This symbol, although not clearly discernible, can be seen in all my work, regardless of theme. When I paint or draw, I work in the same manner as I do tai chi, moving my entire body and not just my hand and arm. For this reason, movement and roundness of forms can be seen in all my work.
I am very interested in paper, because it gives me the immediacy of drawing and a great sensation of freedom. This is why I often place paper on canvas or wood. I work in acrylic as well as oil. Currently, I’m exploring the human figure developed in clay with mixed media.
