The association Art.ur, in collaboration with the Cuneo Township presents the fourth Urban Art Exhibition contest, manifestaZOOne.
The intention of this project utilizing public art is to promote communication of socially sensitive issues in the form of large billboards, commenting in a direct and often ironic way on the theme of the exhibition.
Artists and graphics are invitated to produce a graphical work to be printed 6 meters by 3 meters on the topic “last minute Hero”, that refers to the mediatized contemporary idols, soon manipulated and absorbed by the unceasing shifts of style.
The event is organized in partnership with the International Literature Exhibition Scrittorincittà, to which it is connected for the chosen theme.
Who wants to participate to the contest, has to send the project, in a finished state ready to be printed 6 meters by 3 meters, by post and by May 12, 2010.
Entering the contest is free and the price of printing and display will be the exclusive responsibility of the organisers.
The winning work or works will be published on the exhibition catalogue and displayed in the Fresia Gardens of Cuneo from the 1st to the 18th of July during the ZOOart exhibition as well as on various advertising billboards within the city of Cuneo in November 2010, during Scrittorincittà.
