The European Cultural Foundation, the Riksbankens Jublileumsfond and the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres ENCATC opened the application process for the 7th Cultural Policy Research Award 2010.
Through the CPRA annual competition, the program partners aim to encourage and enable cultural policy researchers to undertake comparative applied research that can inform policymaking and benefit practitioners active in the field. The Award is devoted to research projects on contemporary European cultural issues and challenges by analyzing them and offering policy solutions. The CPRA has also the ambition to enhance a network of young scholars in cultural policy field.
Open to young (up to 35 years old) academics, researchers and policymakers from all European countries, the Award covered so far a range of issues: from the raison d’être of the European cultural policies, creative industries in South-East Europe, comparison of trends in funding, governance and organizational structure of live classical music organizations, issues of diversity within the cultural industries in music, fashion and design, and measurement of socio-economic impacts of culturally diverse regenerated heritage sites.
Applications must be submitted by 24 May 2010 through the online application form on the CPR Award website.
Before applying, candidates are strongly advised to consult the guidelines on how to prepare their applications.
The winner of the CPR Award 2010, worth 10,000 euros, will be publicly announced on 6 October during the 18th ENCATC Annual Conference taking place in Brussels (6-8 October 2010).
