IFACCA D'Art research topics: an update

Przeglądaj blog , Lidia Varbanova , 14 lip 2008

IFACCA, the dynamic global network of arts councils and ministries of culture, has recently published online research reports on Ethics in cultural policy (in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, Finland) and Arts and Artists in Europe: New Challenges (by Andreas Wiesand and Danielle Cliche of ERICarts Institute).

Currently, IFACCA is seeking help with two new research questions:
Support for new media arts - The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) are co-hosting a mini-summit in July 2008 on government support for new media arts practice. In preparation, this D’Art research question is initiated to identify policy issues and to locate key personnel to invite to the mini-summit.
Arts and ecological sustainability - Arts Council England and IFACCA are working together to collate examples of good practice in supporting artists or arts organisations with creative and practical responses to ecological concerns such as environmental sustainability and climate change. Arts Council England also hopes to identify potential partners with whom to develop work in this area.

IFACCA's online news service for arts policymakers and researchers ACCORNS contains key new publications and research work in areas such as: cultural policy, arts management, cultural diversity, creative industries, cultural economics. To register, sign up here.
