After a long trip –my flight was more than one hour delayed and I got lost in the city centre (it seems that my sense of orientation is not as good as I thought) I’m finally in Amsterdam, ready for the first day of Stranger Festival.

The Festival will start in the evening with 2 workshops. “Don’t be a stranger” will make portraits of the Festival audience, while “Tabletop moviemaking” will show participants the fastest way to make a movie in a small setting. How? Look:

I’m quite interested in see how the Empty Cans software works. You too? Drop by the “Wii Cans” activity at Gashouder and you’ll be able to manipulate video and audio live with the Wiimotes of the Wii, creating a live music video performance.

Plus, in the Opening Ceremony of the Stranger Festival 2008 we could see the presentation of the finalists for the Amsterdam StrangerAwards , performances and workshops and more than 200 international guests (me, for instance ;) and finalists. There will also be live painting by Karimo. I’m also eager to see Eboman live with his Sensor Suit. Take a look of what this guy can do:

And, last, but no least, the StrangerExhitibion, wich will be around Europe after the Festival, opens their doors. During the Festival, from 10.00 to 00.00, at Gashouder.
