Summer courses in Cultural Economics

Third edition of the Summer International Programs in cultural economics led by Prof. Arjo Klamer and organized by CREARE that will take place in Amsterdam. • The course on Value of Culture: On the relationship between Economics, Culture and the Art will take place from August 17 to 24, 2011. • The course on The economics of museums and cultural heritage will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2011. The courses explore the tension between the world of economics and the world of the arts. The first one provides a wider perspective, whereas the second specializes on museums and cultural heritage. They are open to students, city planners, politicians, teachers, business leaders, cultural managers and other workers in the cultural field. Participants will take part in debates on recent insights on the topics and learn from actual cases. They will engage with prominent cultural and business entrepreneurs and well-known academics.
