22nd of September 2008 with Chinese and
European Business Ethics at the forefront of discussion.
The first Chinese-European round table held by the Civilisations Matter
Society is pleased to invite Asian and European Managers and Scientists
providing them with the chance to meet and work together.
Shifts in Values and Sustainability will be the Symposium‘s thematic focus,
thereby gaining deeper insight into the different cultural, social and political
backgrounds in China and Europe as well as leading to new strategies and
solutions to today‘s burning questions.
What are the chances and risks involved in China‘s breathtaking economic
upsurge? How does this phenomenon change the entrepreneurial, political
and social constellation of intercultural dialog between China and Europe?
To what extent are value systems able to deal with problems and questions
regarding social, economic and environmental sustainability? What are the
chances and responsibilities of the individual in a global and economic order?
Which values stand at the basis of political systems and reforms?
