Since 2007 I am (together with Rona Mathlener) the co-founder of Souterrain Amsterdam, Center for Contemporary Arts and its Financial Director. Further as of februari 2009 I also am the financial Director of Motel Mozaique, festival for populair music, Theatrical Performance arts and visual arts.
As of April 2nd after 7 long years I will be a former member of the City Council of the city of Amsterdam. As vice chairman of the fraction of GroenLinks I was the spokesperson for Culture & Media, Finance & Economics and for Housing & Planning. I further was member of the investigative committe for the Carre-councilinvestigation and the Combino-councilinvestigation.
I further have my own culturelal policy advicing agency RMVDM, which is associated with Berenschot.
