
I studied cultural sciences at the Europe University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany, and in Xalapa, Mexico. Before completing my post graduate studies, Ie worked at the Goethe Institute Mexico, interned with the German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and with the European Commission Representation in Bonn, Germany. I completed my Master degree in “Euroculture” at the University of Göttingen, Germany, and University of Deusto, San Sebastian, Spain. In 2006, I joined the German Commission for UNESCO as a young professional contributing to the organization of the international conference “Cultural Diversity – Europe’s Wealth” (Essen, April 2007). Since 2008, I have worked as a programme specialist in the Division of Culture at the German Commission for UNESCO. I coordinate the international capacity building programme “U40-Cultural Diversity 2030” and assume responsibilities of the German point of contact for the UNESCO Convention on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
