Mama Cash starts the month making an official switch to a new era in its grantmaking strategy.

The new programme aims to go deeper and reach higher to support women's movements around the world. It officially started the 1st of August and is now open for submissions.

In 2008, Mama Cash invested €2.515.049 in 172 women's and girls' rights organisations based in 73 different countries around the world. If you want to know more about Mama Cash activities, you can read its recently published annual report.

In November and December Mama Cash will be co-hosting a groundbreaking series of international gatherings in the Netherlands which will gather funders, activists, and leading movers and shakers from all over the world. They'll be investigating the current state of funding for women's human rights and figuring out how to get more money and support to the growing number of women sex workers who are organising internationally.
