This multilingual Handbook provides an overview of institutions and agencies active in European cultural co-operation and from different artistic fields in the 48 member states of the European Cultural Convention. It also provides an overview of the organisational structure, goals and policies of main European institutions such as the Council of Europe and the European Union as well as foundations playing a key role on the European stage. Countries which belong to the wider European Region and are not members of the European Cultural Convention are also profiled (e.g. US).
