This report is the outcome of more than four years' research and consultancy work led by the Rural Cultural Forum and the LITTORAL Arts Trust, which began with the Rural Cultural Summit at Tate Britain in May 2005.
The main purpose of the report is to stimulate and inform wider public debate around the proposal for a national rural cultural strategy. In this context, it presents in basic outline what some elements of a possible future rural cultural strategy might look like, and how these might be implemented in practical terms.
