The aim is to protect cultural heritage by combating the looting, theft, illegal export and import and illicit trafficking of cultural property, as well as the degradation and all other forms of deterioration of heritage by providing free and easy access to the laws in force. It also displays links to international normative instruments and other organisations involved in heritage protection worldwide.
