The National Novel Writing Month is an international event, which offers a fun approach to novel writing. Do you have ideas, but never get around to start writing? Then this is your chance: Dedicate the month of November to writing and write like crazy. All participants start writing on 1 November with the aim to submit a 50.000-word (or more) novel by 30 November, midnight.

This worldwide event started in 1999 and counted more than 165.000 participants in 2009. You are welcome to write in any language.

Are you teaching or working with children or adolescents? NaNoWriMo also has a Young Writers Program, to offer young people up to 17 this month-long language art experience. Some 2000 classrooms worldwide are expected to participate this year.
