
The objective of Jardin d´Europe Wild Cards is to encourage transnational circulation of artistic development in the field of choreographic research and further education throughout Europe.
Jardin d’Europe Wild Cards offers residencies, choreographic research with an established company as well as scholarships for further education programmes to emerging choreographers and professional dancers.
Jardin d´Europe Wild Cards is an initiative merging the two project points SCHNEE and Residencies.
Application procedure - Choreographers and dancers can only apply for those slots, for which the Jardin d'Europe partner of their home country/country of residency makes a call:

The organiser, Workshop Foundation, covers the following: travel, max. EUR 300; accommodation; EUR 25 / day as fee; workshop fee of Kontakt Budapest Festival; free studio (8 days, 4-6 hours per day).

2. participation in ex.e.rce unit 2: "trois régimes d'écriture de la danse" (3 systems of dance writing)
The organiser, CCN Montpellier, covers the following: travel; accommodation and meals; teaching training costs.
Application requirements:
Candidates should be at least 22 years old, should already be pursuing a professional path or have professional experience in choreography ( as a dancer or choreographer), or else a background in a different artistic field that is nevertheless concerned with body and movement-related questions in the field of choreography.

CCN Montpellier - artistic research & festival admin during iDANS- Istanbul International Contemporary Dance & Performance Festival
The organiser, Bimeras, covers the following: travel; accommodation for 30 days in Istanbul, free meals; part-time studio (around 4 hours a day) for the whole duration of the residency, with possibility of inviting local artists/teachers as "external eye" to the working process; admission to all performance of iDANs; articipation in workshops throughout the festival except teaching the teachers; participation in lectures and symposiums throughout the festival; hands on experience on the daily experiences of festival production; exchange of ideas and contact with local and international artists and cultural operators.
The participant will be required to be present 90 minutes before and 60 minutes after performances at the venues to help festival operations.

1. residency at Trafó Studio Budapest
The organiser, Workshop Foundation, offers the following: 2-3 weeks rehearsal space in the Dance Studio of Trafó, 4-6 hours per day; 6 days on the stage of Trafó with lights and light designer (if needed); financial support: tavel+fee+production cost: EUR 1.200-1.500 (depending on the applicants need, eg.g company size).

2. research residency during the teaching the teachers session in Istanbul
This residency is designed for an artist with special interest in dance pedagogy and dance theory, and willingness to have a hands-on experience in festival organization.
The Wild Card slot offers the following: travel, accommodation for 30 days in Istanbul, free meals; free admission to the TTT sessions (aim of the program is on Jardin d’Europe website; details of this year’s program are to be announced soon); admission to all performances throughout iDANS; participation in dance workshops throughout the festival; participation in lectures and/or symposiums throughout the festival; hands on experience on the daily experiences of festival production; exchange of ideas and contact with local and international artists and cultural operators.
