I was born in 1981 in Zaandam, the Netherlands.

In 2001 I started my study at the AKI in Enschede, there I studied at the painting and mixed media departments and received my BA in 2005.

My main artistic focus since 2004 has been drawing, combining a multitude of techniques and materials which can be seen for example in my modified x-ray drawings called 'röntgen etchings'.

I've collaborated since 2007 with Dutch artist Conny Kuilboer under the name Kruisdijk / Kuilboer, this allows us both to explore ideas that fall outside of our own oeuvre.

My work has been bought by various private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain

I was asked in 2009 and 2010 to teach at the AKI. (now known as AKI-ArtEz)
