One of the central platforms for contemporary investigative art in Slovenia, it offers a space for virtual interactions between artist, audience and ideas. As well as exhibiting art, the gallery also offers an active production platform to encourage, facilitate and showcase exploratory artistic productions.
Visitors are invited to reflect on works of art that actively examine contemporary values and to stimulate their critical understanding of the time we live in.
With an emphasis on research and experiments, the gallery programme is divided in main thematic groups: ambiental installations; technology through art; science through art; corporeality through art; and sound through art.
Kapelica Gallery collaborates with institutions involved in similar activities, and strives to position contemporary investigative art among the activities that shape the values of modern society.
