An exhibition of large-scale colour photographs (up to five feet high) from the book “Earth Under Fire: How Global Warming is Changing the World” by environmental photojournalist Gary Braasch. The winner of the Ansel Adams Award, he has been documenting climate change and its solutions for a decade.

The exhibition was on display at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Atrium in Washington DC, from November 2009 to April 2010. The exhibition’s run has been extended twice by the AAAS, America’s largest scientific organisation, due to public attendance and to keep the issue in the forefront in the US capital. Extended captions for each photo have been scientifically accepted by staff of the AAAS. A companion exhibit for kids, parents and school groups − “How We Know About Our Changing Climate” − highlighted how scientists learn about climate change and include kids taking action, in the films “Young Voices on Climate Change”.
