
Dieter Bogner (Vienna) is Art Historian (PhD), Exhibition Curator, Museum Planner, Author and Collector of Site Specific Contemporary Art Installations. In 1989 Dieter Bogner developed the concept for Museumsquartier Vienna, the largest Austrian Contemporary Cultural Centre. In 1994 he founded bogner.cc, developing cultural concepts and strategic programs for museums, curating the new display of museum collections and organizing international exhibitions.
bogner.cc developed the Strategic Plans for Hessian State Collections Kassel, the museums of the City of Salzburg, the Landesmuseum Joanneum Graz, the new Mystetskyj Arsenal Kiev and the Austrian Ministry of Art and Culture. Dieter Bogner curates the new display of many museum collections: Salzburg Museum (which won the European Museum of the Year Award 2009), Hessonian County Museum Kassel, Stift Klosterneuburg etc.; bogner.cc developed the museological concept and supervised construction of Kunsthaus Graz, Museion Bolzano etc. Dieter Bogner curated numerous exhibitions: for example Johannes Itten (Museum of Modern Art Vienna), Shaping the Great City (Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montreal; The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles), He is Chairman of the Board of the Austrian Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Private Foundation in Vienna and member of the Board of Trustees of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York.
