Housed in a specially designed building in Vienna that reflects the foundation’s modernist principles, it holds between two and three uncompromising conceptual art exhibitions every year. Each exhibition is accompanied by programmes of events such as lectures, performances and film screenings, which enable the foundation to respond directly to current debates.

The foundation also collects and conserves artworks focusing on conceptual pieces of the 1960s and 1970s, as well as works by present-day artists whose orientation is conceptual and performance-related. The collection assigns special importance to photography, film, video and installation art, as well as the borderlines between architecture and design. The foundation houses an extensive library and study centre, as well as an online archive.
