This Italian-based foundation promotes initiatives, research and studies of artistic, cultural and technological interest in the fields of textile production and contemporary art.
Through FAR's activities, scholars of textiles and contemporary art, together with established and emerging artists, have the opportunity to extend their research, to produce new work, and to reach a wider audience. As well as organising a programme of events, FAR also runs a textile museum in Italy and a free annual study programme for visual arts for 20 artists from around the world.
