
Museum Literacy (MusLi) is an EU project supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme – Grundtvig Learning partnership.
The project aims to establish a platform for museums, administrations and training institutions to overcome barriers to cultural literacy through museum activities. MusLi targets potential publics with low schooling levels such as citizens with low qualifications or at risk of social exclusion, including migrants. The working group collected significant cases and experiences and presented the most effective solutions adopted in order to approach this kind of audiences on the occasion of a public conference held in Bolzano (Italy) in June 2010.
The MusLi project is led by Fondazione Fitzcarraldo. Further project partners are Mu'zeumok e's La'togato'k Alapitva'ny / Foundation for Museums and Visitors, Budapest, Hungary, ENCATC, European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centers, Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano Alto Adige – Südtirol – Ufficio Cultura Italiana, Bolzano, Italy, The Manchester Museum, The University of Manchester, UK. Associated partners: Municipality of Turin, Musée du Louvre, France, Région Nord Pas de Calais, France, Pulszky Társaság / Pulszky Society - Hungarian Museum Association, Hungary.
