IN AUDIO VISUAL FIELD TO PARTICIPATE IN "WATER.SINKING CITIES"
PROJECT.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE IN THE AGE FROM 18 TO 30.
IN THE PROJECT PARTICIPATE ARTISTS FROM THE NETHERLANDS, PORTUGAL AND LATVIA.
IT IS AN EXCHANGE BETWEEN 3 CULTURAL VENUES.

WATER. SINKING CITIES

We invite 12 young artists from 3 different countries (Latvia, The
Netherlands, Portugal) for a a working exchange experiences. This will
be represented by an audiovisual expression, having an aim to create a
live performance show. This intercultural dialog is settled in a
network platform, where for 1 month the artists create their artistic
profiles and create intercultural groups together. This workflow is
organized in 3 groups of 4 persons from different countries, aspiring
to share knowledge, balance methodologies, improve skills, and
exchange ideas. The setting of this project (theme): Water as the
element of nature that connects these different countries - Baltic
Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean - geographical joint; involved with a
reflection about sinking cities – simultaneous environmental issue.
That’s why we’ve chosen Riga, Amstelveen and Porto as the set of the
project: the imaginary line that links the 3 cities crosses almost all
Europe, sketches the workflow and the culture of Southern, Central and
Northern Europe. After 1 month of communication on website, there will
be 3 months to visit all countries, 1 week in each place with 2 weeks
break between to collect audiovisual materials and get introduced with
special local relations on project theme Water, Sinking cities.The
final presentation of the project and performance in a live audio
visual show will take place in P60 cultural centre in Amstelveen.

Planned activity of the project:
-15th May Turning on of the website -
From 15th May to 20th June: each artist has to create his own
artistic profile on the site
-20th June: Arrival in Riga, welcome and accommodation.
-20th - 24th June: Work on audio visual project in groups.
-25th June: Live audio visual performance in cultural centre NOASS.
From 26th June to 14th July: An individual evaluation. The
communication on the site.
-15th July: Arrival in Porto, welcome and accommodation.
-15th - 19th July: Work in a location.
-20th July: Live audio visual performance in Ideias Emergentes art space.
From 22th of July to 14th of September: An individual evaluation.
-15th September: Arrival in Amstelveen, welcome and accommodation.
-15th - 19th September: Preparation for the performance.
-20th September: Final audio visual live show on P60 stage.
