PROGRAM

• 42 hours of theory and practice of Laban Movement Analysis in Body:

Axial skeleton, joints, articulation; Weight: (body weight) mobility/stability, dynamic alignment; Kinesphere/personal space: closer to/further from, front/back, next to; Space: dimensional scale and general overview; Effort: general overview, rhythm; Relationship: shape qualities, communicating in movement.

• 5 hours of history of Modern Dance in Europe by Iwona Wojnicka.

The lecture will include watching the fallowing movies:

1. Laban Dance Works. Re-Creations From His Chamber Dance Repertoire 1923-1928. Director Valerie Preston-Dunlop. Laban Center 1992.

The project aims to attract professionals and amateurs of different movement background. LMA is an useful tool for dancers, choreographers, actors. It may be also be a good tool in any profession and passion connected with the movement of the human body. We would like to compose a good group that will empower the process of study. All of the interested persons are welcomed to apply. If you prove to be much more/less then the the group starting study level, we will contact you on this. We are waiting for maximum 25 participants, who fill in the form and contact us on details.
