Promotes Portuguese photography and aims to develop a national policy for the sector, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. Besides its events and exhibitions programme, CPF is also responsible for training professionals and the general public; organising and promoting archive and heritage resources; fostering a publication strategy; and funding and supporting photography in general.
