Tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale italiano all'estero

The ICoN Consortium Italian Culture on the Net www.italicon.it, made up of 20 Italian universities and aimed at promoting the Italian language and culture all over the world through the Internet, is launching a University Master's Programme in Tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale italiano all'estero (Preservation and enhancement of the Italian cultural heritage abroad) (www.mastertutelabeniculturali.it). The Master's Programme is issued
in cooperation with the ICoN member Italian universities of Parma, Milan and Turin.
The programme will start next November 2 and will end October, 2011.
The scheduled plan (60 Italian University credits - 1500 hrs) foresees: laboratory activities (250 hrs in total) with compulsory face-to-face sessions from 2 to 13 November. Sessions from 15 to 27 November can both be attended face-to-face or online.
During the first two weeks students will visit the CSAC of the University of Parma, the Biblioteca Palatina of Parma, the Casa della Musica of the Comune di Parma, the Archivio Storico of the Comune of Parma, the Centro Apice of the University of Milan and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema of Turin.
The e-learning phase foresees tutorship and self-paced learning activities based on teaching materials designed by scholars of the Universities of Milan, Parma and Turin and by officials of the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione and of the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo Unico (900 hrs); the plan also foresees a stage (200 hrs) and a final work (150 hrs). The Cinema area will include teaching lessons on the Museo Nazionale del Cinema of Turin, on the preservation of audiovisuals and on the preservation and re-use of amateur family videos.
