The Azores Combo Project occurs in 2010 and it´s mission is to improve the
communication  between traditional artistic techniques and the
contemporary aesthetics.

This project is composed of 7 artistic labs. In the 1st week of July
occurs the Public Art Lab.
The goal of the this event is to make public art that expresses the
Azorean interculturality, so the interpreters will be azorean artists and
artists from Azorean immigrant communities nationalitites.
They will produce sculptures, reinventing at the same time some of the the
traditional azorean handicraft techniques, introducing some elements of
their culture.

The main nationalities of  the immigrants in the Azores are: Brazil, Cape
Verde, Angola, Russia and Ukrania.
