In June 2008 I decided to collect contemporary art. The scene interests me, the art interests me and I'm working for an online platform called "Independent Collectors" (http://www.independent-collectors.com). It is targeted at collectors of contemporary art from all over the world and invites them to show their collections, meet other collectors and exchange insights and information, aside from established channels like art fairs or galleries.
Yes, I could work and write for them without collecting, but since they wanted me to write a blog, I decided to become a collector and blog about that (http://blog.independent-collectors.com). And I have to sa: I don't regret it.
