The European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres (ENCATC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Sophia Labadi, a young French international expert on cultural heritage and cultural diversity, is the winner of the Cultural Policy Research Award 2008 with the research project "Measuring the socio-economic impacts of regenerated heritage sites characterised by a high degree of cultural diversity".

This outstanding award was conferred in Lyon on October 16th at the occasion of the ENCATC International Conference "Intercultural Dialogue and Project Management: New training programmes in a context of major challenges". The selection was done by the European Jury, chaired by Prof.Dr Milena Dragicevic-Sesic. The price was awarded jointly by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond in partnership with ENCATC.

CPRA was launched in 2004 by ECF and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond to stimulate academic research in the cultural policy field and to assist cultural policymaking by shaping policy reflection and recommendations related to culture. A long-term goal is the development of a network of young cultural policy scholars across European boundaries.
