The objective of Jardin d´Europe Wild Cards is to encourage the transnational circulation of artistic development in the field of choreographic research and further education throughout Europe. It offers residencies, choreographic research with an established company, as well as scholarships for further education programmes to emerging choreographers and professional dancers.

For the Wild Cards 2010, the Jardin d'Europe network agreed upon a new system, including a new system of applications.

Each co-organiser has different partners of the network per offered slot. For each slot, the co-organiser makes an open call. Emerging choreographers and professional dancers can only apply for those slots, for which the co-organiser of their home country/country of residency makes a call. The application material needs to be send to the organizer of the slot.

The following slots of the Wild Cards 2010 are still open for application:

1. Workshop Ultima Vez Vocabulary

This workshop for professional dancers will take place from September 6 to September 10, 2010 (5 days/5 hours per day) in Brussels. The workshop will be led by Iñaki Azpillaga, and she will give an introduction into the Ultima Vez vocabulary. The organiser is Ultima Vez.

The application consists of the following: a curriculum vitae and letter of motivation.

The workshop includes: free inscription,  travel costs, lodging (6nights) and perdiems (6 days x 30€).

Application deadline is July 15, 2010

2. Workshop at Winlab

This workshop will take place in London (Siobhan Davies Studios), from November 29 to December 17, 2010.

The Winter Laboratory (Winlab) is a two to three week festival centered around week long intensive workshops with leading international artists, supplemented by drop-in activities and associated evening events for a wider audience. The workshops offer the opportunity to share the practices of international guest artists and for participants to engage and interact with each other within this framework.

The organiser, Southbank Centre, covers the following: workshop fee (including additional events and performance tickets), accommodation and travel. The application consists of the following: a curriculum vitae and letter of motivation.

Application deadline is September 30, 2010.

The project Jardin d´Europe is dedicated to the establishment of a sustainable European infrastructure for the professionalisation of emerging dancers, choreographers, dance administrators and dance writers. It is organised as a network of European dance institutions (dance training centres, dance companies or festival organisers), with a particular priority in Middle and Eastern European countries.
