ACCR gathers 47 European and international cultural centres in historic monuments [CCR]. Its members are organisations, mainly in rural areas, implementing projects of cultural re-use (performing arts, architecture, visual arts, writing, research, etc.) of heritage (abbeys, fortresses, industrial heritage, gardens etc.).

ACCR promotes mobility of cultural actors, European level exchanges of artistic projects and expertise and cooperation on innovative projects between CCRs. ACCR provides space for debate and training on cultural re-use issues. ACCR represents its members at European level in umbrella networks and in relation with the EU Institutions and disseminates information on policies and programs of cooperation to artists, stakeholders and audiences.

ACCR advocates at European level for the CCR label as a model of local sustainable development, supporting intercultural dialogue, fostering mobility of artists and cultural operators, relaying European cultures worldwide.
