The Gracia Arts Project was set up to benefit all artistic endeavours with a view to share information, ideas, collaborate and actively pursue projects in a network of fellow artists from all nations. This website and the monthly meetings are in Castillano, Catalan & English.

In order to grow we actively attract artists of all disciplines and profile them. If you like what you see than you can contact us through the details provided.

The following pages detail profiles of different artists with examples of their work. Although willing to assist with creating a profile we do not have any set criteria. We wish to develop a wide and eclectic range of talents that spark imaginations and provoke creativity amoung members.

AMBITIONS
It is the ambition of Gracia Arts Project to have sufficient members to group together so as to obtain 'a versatile space' in the area of Gracia for the use of all its members who live, work or regularily use Barcelona with their artistic work.

We hope to obtain a location so that it can be a space to physcially see works of members through exhibitions, events, live music, theatre etc as well as a centre for artistic studios, information, work, teaching and maybe even some socialising.

Since the formation of the association we have developed a strategy to follow. They are described in three phases.

Phase 1.

To attract a large amount of artists who are willing to work together for the greater good of the association.

To establish and maintain a 'group of peers' for each category, ie Fine Art, Photography, Film, Music, Dance, Writing and Design.

To encourage regular meetings between all members for the purpose of sharing information, the exchange of ideas and coloboration between disciplines.

Phase 2.

To complete established projects designed by the members of GAP that will result in the acquirement of a 'versatile space' for use of all its members.

To establish teams who are willing to work voluntarily spending much time collecting information, research and presentation of projects. One current project that we are developing is the preparation of architectural plans to design 'a versatile space' from a redundant building or state owned site in Gracia. This along with many other projects we hope to present to the appropriate authorities as an example of what we can do should we have the proper funding.

Phase 3.

To establish and maintain the premises for Gracia Arts Project with the appointment and employment of elected members to undertake certain responsibilities.

To ensure that all members have equal use and opportunity that GAP can provide.

To represent members within the community and further their professional careers.

Representation.

Gracia Arts Project is not directly an agency for artists although can act as a representive if necessary.

The associations individual members vote to decide how best to run, operate and act on behalf of all its members.

Any monies received by GAP will be put back into GAP and recorded with an appointed accountant. This includes all future grants, sponsorship, funding or donation.
