We are happy to see you in Amsterdam this September !
The new theatre season in Amsterdam starts with the best of the Low Countries. You can see them one last time during TF from 4 to14 September 2008. Visit Amsterdam to see Roman Tragedies by Ivo van Hove, Hotel Modern, Abatoir Ferme, Wunderbaum, The Pianist by Edwin de Vries and many more…
TF, Theatre Festival of the Netherlands and Flanders presents the highlights of the previous season. Most performances will be provided with English subtitling.
The professional jury of TF makes an annual selection reflecting the state of the art of Dutch and Flemish theatre presenting highlights of the previous season. TF offers a survey of new developments. The jury, led by Raoul Heertje, chose 11 productions that have been given a special reprise for TF. Alongside the official jury selection, several renowned productions for the Toneelpublieksprijs (Theatre Audience Award) can be seen.
This 10-day theatre event welcomes the new season with a large number of productions by promising young makers, with workshops, parties, lectures and forums. In the presence of actors and theatre makers, the festival looks ahead to the new season. TF is unique as a place to reflect on Dutch and Flemish theatre. A festival within the festival is the Amsterdam Fringe Festival (TF-2) with unpolished and untamed theatre in all kinds of venues. At the Gala of Dutch Theatre, the Dutch theatre awards are presented to the best actors, actresses and the most wonderful productions. For the full program please check www.tf.nl
