A new European competition to award stage productions for children and young people, as well as for generation-spanning target groups. Imaginative and innovative productions are invited to apply, as well as new stage formats that will arouse the audience's enthusiasm for classical music.
The award addresses orchestras and ensembles, theatres and concert halls, composers, musicians, librettists, authors, pedagogues, and artists throughout Europe. Starting in November 2011, international musical productions will be honoured every three years within the framework of the YEAH! Festival in Osnabruck. The award is initiated by the Georgsmarienhütte Steelworks Foundation and the City of Osnabruck, and organised by the “netzwerk junge ohren” (network for young ears).
