A grant-giving foundation that funds art organisations worldwide, IMAF seeks to promote the visual and performing arts, as well as the study and preservation of art and culture. It also funds research and publications on the history of art.
Support is available for organisations such as museums, performing arts organisations (ballet and theatre companies, opera companies, symphony orchestras, etc) and for architectural restorations.
