International Fund for Cultural Diversity

Tsveta Andreeva | 22 Mars 2010, 11:33

The International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) opened its first Call for Applications!

The Fund is established under Article 18 of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005).

Guidelines on the use of the resources of the Fund were adopted by the Conference of States Parties in June 2009 thus marking the beginning of Pilot Phase for the Fund.

The purpose of the Fund is to promote sustainable development and poverty reduction in developing countries that are Parties to the Convention. This is to be achieved through support for projects and activities that aim to foster the dynamic cultural sector in these countries.

A very interesting topic. I downloaded an article from shared files search engine http://filecraft.com I've got a couple of questions later on. Is it adequate information that the Fund does not officially target activities related to linguistic diversity? It's important for me to know, because I'm more interested in this item rather than the others. Any help is much appreciated. danniella mars | 02 déc 2010
