The article published in the International Journal of Cultural Policy, Vol 11, No.2, focuses mainly on the recently developed and fast growing IFACCA network in general and on its D’Art research programme in particular. The latter is found to mobilise agencies and networks in two main ways – (1) to initiate and commission joint research and (2) indirectly highlight and identify perceived information needs for strategic policy development purposes. In an era when cultural agencies are more and more obliged to think globally, the network and its research programme are deemed to have an important impact.
