Le parrainage

Le parrainage est l’une des formes de soutien d’entreprises les plus courantes dans le domaine des arts. Généralement financé par le budget marketing et publicité d’une entreprise, le parrainage bénéficie autant au sponsor qu’au sponsorisé. Le sponsor ou parrain espère augmenter ses futurs profits grâce à sa plus grande notoriété, à une clientèle plus large, à une meilleure couverture médiatique, et à des avantages fiscaux et autres. Les organisations culturelles y trouvent aussi leur compte, non seulement en termes financiers mais aussi en termes de soutien « en nature » et d’autres avantages, comme l’amélioration de leurs compétences d’exploitation et de communication.

Les associations nationales de parrainage des arts et du patrimoine interviennent dans le processus de parrainage en offrant conseils, des formations et des informations aux deux parties concernées, sans toutefois fournir un soutien direct. Bon nombre de ces sites offrent de nombreux conseils sur les processus de parrainage en Europe et ailleurs.
