Ephmeristan is looking for creative citizens!

What if someone loans you a charming little theater in the middle of a harbor district and you have buckets of energy and ideas - but practically lack any current staff let alone financial liquidity? Of course you found your own micronation where things run just the way you want to - you hire a government of talented outsiders (Randpflanzen) and fall back to your best resources: get performers to work onstage and serve the national dish for three bucks only at the darling café!

Ephmeristan is a one month micronation and an 850-hours- theaterpiece. Place is the only prerequisite, everything else is left to the power of imagination. We open the doors for eager citizens to create the possible. We look forward to helpful contributions and supporting cheers from friends and believers. Welcome to our land. Our experiment has begun.

citizens of ephmeristan are asked to apply with an idea. this is a project they want to perform onstage - or a concept they need to discuss with peers. they either arrive with their respective group or find help among other ephmerites. while here and to make things happen, we´d be happy if citizens put work into the café as well.

stages/requirements: we consider 3 places in ephmeristan to serve as stage. the main stage in the hall, the small balustrade in the inner yard, and the pedestal in the café. setting up on the balustrade or pedestal is easy, all you need is yourself and your instrument/props. however, using the stage inside the hall is more complex. you may use it without any support of special lights and sound. anytime though you need the technique, we need to hire a light- and sounddesigner. that adds up to a pre-worked for budget.

living arrangements: sleeping in ephmeristan is possible though probably only for those with little need for luxury. (and i mean very little). we are working on a solution where you can camp comfortably either on our grounds or on bordering territory.

how to apply: send an email to immigrationsbuero@ephmeristan.de and let us know what you want to do as a citizen and what is your preferred time to come. to grant citizenship it is always helpful to get to know different parts of your or your background. this does not need to be a cv, rather give us an insight about your general outlook on life, your plans for the year 2014, the color of your left sock. we will carefully consider your case and you will hear back from us as soon as we can.
