Bringing to life the UNESCO Convention, which took place in Essen in April 2007 in the context of the German EU Council Presidency. The debates concentrated on the concept of "Cultural Diversity" as a guiding principle and developed elements of a potential European Action Plan. It includes the keynote speakers of this event, as well as other important contributions on the topic of film, music, media policies, urban public space and a list of selected resources and documents on these topics.
