Acts as an 'expert group' of the Nordic Council for music cooperation projects. It funds and advises and disseminates information on Nordic music in the region and beyond. Nomus also appoints and manages the prize committee of the Nordic Council Music Prize and is the official advisory body to the Nordic cultural fund. It publishes the English magazine 'Nordic Sounds' and the 'Nomus Catalogue'.
