An association that provides services to its members, including legal advice and the use of a number of different artists' residencies, both inside and outside Denmark. Aims to influence current policies to enhance the economic and social security of professional visual artists, and to protect artistic freedom in general. Information about current funding opportunities, calls for proposals etc. is included on a useful billboard. Also publishes newsletters, a yearbook and a critical quarterly magazine on current art politics, “ Billedkunstneren” (The Visual Artist).
