EU 's programme to support the European audiovisual sector by co-financing training activities,development of production projects/companies and the promotion of audiovisual works.
It aims to build a stronger European audiovisual sector that reflects Europe´s cultural identity and heritage and to increase the circulation or European audiovisual works inside and outside the EU. It also focuses on promoting the use of digital technologies and making financial support more accessible to companies in this industry.
MEDIA 2007-2013 action lines focus on: training of professionals, development of production projects and companies, distribution and promotion of cinematographic works/audiovisual programmes and providing support for film festivals.
