Miso Music Portugal promotes the making of contemporary music, particularly Portuguese music. It is involved in several projects: Festival Música Viva, concerts and performances, courses and workshops, artist residences, ElectroAcousticLab, a competition, conferences, an educational programme, the label Miso Records, research at Miso Studio, an online information centre for Portuguese music, and an online forum. Miso Music Portugal was created by the Miso Ensemble. It is a member of the International Association of Music Information Centres (IAMIC), the Internationnal Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM), Confédération Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique (CIME) and the European Conference of Promoters of New Music (ECPNM).
