Partner at SOM www.som.eu.com
I have been the coordinator of the 40 Stations Photography project, realized in collaboration with Muammer Yanmaz www.muammeryanmaz.com, photographing and documenting of 40 Turkish artists and academics living in Paris, New York and London, since 2001. I conducted interviews with the portrayed models of the 40 Stations project while arranging for tours and travels and assisting with the preparation of the book due to be published at the conclusion of the project. I have also coordinated and organized the project’s exhibitions in Turkey, France, Germany, United Kingdom and in the United States in collaboration with international organizations like British Council, Art Councils of England and Cultures France. I still work for the new 40 Stations project which will be realized in Germany since the year 2011 marks the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of Turkish migration in Germany.

I have expertise in EU 5th, 6th, 7th Framework Programmes, IPA Programme, EU Culture Programme and European Cultural Foundation projects. I have consulted NGOs, art institutions and in particular scientists and artists in EU projects since 2004. I have been also involved in a theatre project of Tiyatro Global http://teatroglobal.org/ about Ottoman Festivals.

While heading especially towards culture, art and social responsibility projects since 2008, I am one of the founding partners of SOM. SOM is a private company officially established in January 2010. SOM’s team consists of experts having experience in creating art projects in cooperation with artists from different fields including photography, contemporary art, music, painting and so on. In the beginning of 2009 this group of experts has initiated to establish a new organization- SOM- aiming to bridge independent artists and the rest of the society including young people, business, universities, state, scientists, researchers and NGO’s. The aim is to create “community involvement” focused projects.

I work in close contact with NGOs operating in the field of art and culture as well as artists and artist initiatives in order to develop innovative artistic and cultural projects.
