Les Instants Vidéo is an event dedicated to electronic poetry with its multiple forms, monobands, installations, performances, multimedia...
It is all together a festival and a laboratory where international renowned artists and works of arts can meet with works that are more fragile, still in progress, delicates. In order to support real encounters between works of art, artists and spectators, there is no competition and the admission is free.

The event is made of different spaces. The Poetronic Encounters take place in La Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille (from November 10th to the 14th 2010). Every year, this important part of the event welcome more and more spectators, in a space we try to make as friendly as possible.
And either before and after these dates, we act in concert with our partners to organise the festival stopovers in other spaces in Marseille, Martigues and Port-de-Bouc, in Aix-en-Provence, Nice…and abroad (Damascus, Ramallah, Alexandria....). This year for instance, we will open a twining with a new festival in Prague. We name the whole stopovers a poetronic constellation.

Every year, the festival choose a title, but it is not at all a thematic. It is more of a direction, that would express our current concerns. For the 23rd edition, we borrowed the words by Edouard Glissant “There exist interwoven lands, in which species blend together, where roads are indeterminate, where mountains suddenly flatten out and rivers taste of sea-water. These are most often transit places betwixt two landscapes of happiness or two shadows that suddenly recover their own light.”
