How can we build a truly interactive, effective and innovative online community for cultural practitioners across Europe? How can these new tools enhance possibilities for creative exchange and collaborative actions?
Over the last months, LabforCulture has approached these questions in a series of workshops on the use of online tools in the cultural sector. In collaboration with our local partners Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, the Swedish Arts Council, and Istanbul Bilgi University, participants in Lisbon, Stockholm and Istanbul joined us to investigate what can be done to better understand and use more efficiently the power of new technologies to improve cross-border and cross-disciplinary collaboration in Europe.
Using LabforCulture.org as a framework for discussion, we shared our experiences with online tools and looked at local contexts and needs in relation to cultural cooperation in Europe. We will be posting all of the outcomes from these workshops here on LabforCulture.org, and we invite you to weigh in with your views on the issue.
