Story-telling has always fascinated me. To create a world with words, images or text, a pattern you can follow and get lost in for a while.
A long time ago I made a comic from an old fairy-tale, "The Little Soldier". I decided to take this story and make a small animation of it. But soon I discovered the need for sound, voices and music. I have purchased a mic. I have some self-made melodies in my mind, and I´m beginning to think audio.
Since I´m working hard with my sixth Miranda book, besides running low on funds, having to take on odd jobs, I had to postpone the Soldier for a while.
Part one, "The Princess" tells how the soldier, poor and lonely, is coming home from the war. By the road he sees an old ruin, and light from a campfire, and he goes towards it to seek shelter from an approaching storm. In the ruins, in the fire, a snake with a human head appears. It is an enchanted princess.
Part two, "the Covering" shows how the soldier, having been promised marriage to the princess if he can save her, goes through three different ordeals to fetch her blouse, skirt and shoes. With these items she becomes human again.
Part three, "the Inn" tells about how the Soldier lose the princess, and goes out on a journey to find her again.
I have now come to part four, "the Fishing Girl", and looks forward to make it...
