I've just been to Croatia and been quite glad to see how the country lives up and how people recover from the war-shock just 10 years ago.

the wounds are still everywhere, no discussion without the past (?) conflicts in mind.

I was quite shocked in the same time how I "European" was not aware how close this war was, even though there is no physical distance that should make a war less painful to our souls.

Now we just get presented another "big war" on our TV screens.

I don't want to speak about all the small ones that anyway noone even notices them anymore.
too small, not enough publicity.
not enough public interest for the media to tell us and the war parties what goes wrong and what goes right.
to expresse their war experience and live their war-culture.
